Tehran, February 26 (Xinhua) — Iranian and US delegations resumed talks in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday evening after both sides left the venue earlier in the day for a short break and "internal consultations" following three hours of intense diplomatic discussions, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
Oman's Foreign Ministry, which is acting as a mediator, earlier said both sides had demonstrated "unprecedented openness to new and creative ideas and solutions" during the latest round of proximity talks on Iran's nuclear program.
The talks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, as well as a buildup of the American military presence in the region.
