TEHRAN, February 24 (Xinhua) — Four people were killed when an Iranian military helicopter crashed into a fruit and vegetable market in the central province of Isfahan on Tuesday morning, the semi-official Iranian news agency Fars reported.

The pilot, co-pilot and two shop assistants were killed when the helicopter crashed into a market stall at 09:09 local time /05:39 GMT/, the news agency reported.

Four ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene, Fars reported, citing the head of the provincial emergency medical organization, Ali Nasiri.

Isfahan Provincial Emergency Management Directorate Chief Mansour Shishe Forush told the official IRNA news agency that the incident was due to a technical issue. –0–
