BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) — Cumulative box office revenue for China's nine-day Spring Festival holiday in 2026, which ended Monday, exceeded 5.75 billion yuan (about 828.65 million U.S. dollars), with the number of moviegoers reaching 120 million.

The Chinese martial arts action film "Blade of the Guardians: Desert Wind Rises," directed by legendary choreographer Yuan Heping, took third place with 806 million yuan, while the animated franchise "Boonie Bears: The Hidden Protector" took fourth place with 714 million yuan in revenue.
