BEIJING, February 23 (Xinhua) — During the nine-day national holiday to celebrate the Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year), China's science and technology museums welcomed more than 3.5 million visitors, presenting themed holiday exhibitions that combined educational, engaging, and humanistic experiences, the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) in Beijing announced Monday.

The Chinese Science and Technology Museum welcomed over 200,000 visitors for themed events dedicated to the Year of the Horse. Other science and technology museums across the country, based on local specifics, prepared a variety of popular science events that combined the culture of the Chinese zodiac cycle, intangible cultural heritage, and cutting-edge scientific technologies.

As a representative of the KNTM management stated, in 2026 the museum will lead the country's science and technology museums, offering the public even more creative popular science events and even higher-quality services in order to strengthen scientific literacy as the foundation for high-level scientific and technical self-sufficiency. –0–
