Astana, February 23 (Xinhua) — More than 40 percent of Kazakhstan's vehicle fleet is over 20 years old, Kazinform reported on Monday, citing Anar Makasheva, President of the Kazakhstan Automobile Union.
According to its data, as of October 1, 2025, 5.9 million vehicles were registered in the country. Of these, 399,500 vehicles (6.8%) were up to three years old, 1 million (17.2%) were between three and seven years old, and 606,600 (10.3%) were between seven and 10 years old. Of these, 1.4 million vehicles (24.2%) were between 10 and 20 years old, and 2.4 million units (41.5%) were over 20 years old.
