Hanoi, February 22 (Xinhua) — Six people missing since Saturday after a boat capsized in Lao Cai Province in northern Vietnam have been confirmed dead, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Sunday.

The boat, which was carrying 22 passengers and one skipper, capsized around 7:15 p.m. Saturday local time after colliding with another vessel, according to the report.

All six victims were initially listed as missing. Their bodies were later discovered by rescuers.
