Manezhnaya Square and the passage to Revolution Square have become the center of the Chinese New Year celebrations. An interactive quest, "The Riddle of the Lunar New Year," is being organized for young guests of the "Chinese New Year in Moscow" festival. The event will take place on February 20 at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, on February 21 at 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM, on February 22 at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, on February 23 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, and on February 24 and 25 at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

The same venue also offers a daily entertainment program. Spectators can enjoy mini-performances of traditional street theater featuring dances and songs from the Middle Kingdom, participate in performances, interact with characters from Chinese history and mythology, learn about Chinese culture, and take atmospheric photos against the backdrop of themed decorations.

A costumed folklore performance in national costumes and the traditional "Dragon Dance" add a special touch to the celebration. A replica of the mythical creature is ceremoniously carried through the decorated square, and guests can watch the procession from the aisles between the chalets.

Musical performances and a demonstration of Chinese martial arts

The main stage of Manezhnaya Square hosts performances by musical and dance groups, demonstrations of Chinese martial arts, plays, and entertaining games for children.

On February 20 at 2:00 PM, students from Lomonosov Moscow State University will take the stage. They will present a thematic program dedicated to China. On the same day at 3:30 PM and on February 21 at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, concerts will feature students from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.

The "Created in Moscow" creative association will present holiday performances. On February 20 at 5:30 PM, February 22 at 3:00 PM, and February 24 at 4:00 PM, viewers will see the production "New Year's Turmoil." On February 22 at 7:00 PM, February 23 at 5:00 PM, and February 25 at 4:00 PM, viewers will see the fairy tale "The Magic Picture."

On February 21 at 1:00 PM, the Yarko animation studio invites young guests to participate in a game program and learn about Chinese culture. There will be toy horse races in honor of the symbol of the year, a noisy and cheerful drumming session, a celebration of the beginning of spring and the awakening of nature according to Chinese traditions, and a quiz.

On February 22 at 5:00 PM, participants from the Moscow Experimental School Sports and Education Center will demonstrate elements of the traditional martial art of wushu. On February 22 and 23 at 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, groups from Hainan Province will present ethnic dances.

Each performance is an immersion into the world of Chinese culture, where ancient traditions blend with modern theatrical techniques. Professional artists will demonstrate their mastery of martial arts, as well as vocal and traditional theatrical arts.
