Construction pedestrian bridge The Mnevnikovskaya floodplain has entered a new phase. Work is proceeding in parallel on both banks. This will speed up the process and reduce the environmental impact. Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his channel in MAX messenger.
"The builders have already installed the pile foundations for the arch supports and filled in the artificial peninsulas on both banks. Construction of the service bridges has begun. Next, the installation of the main architectural element—the arches—is planned using overhead installation. Crawler cranes located on the service bridges will assemble the arch sections and then enlarge them," the Moscow Mayor wrote.

The same technology will be used in the construction of the bridge's superstructure. The channel section will be constructed using a sliding bridge. The span will rest on four piers: two onshore and two intermediate.
During the final stage, builders will install the bridge's cable-stayed system, dismantle auxiliary structures, install sidewalks and pedestrian paths, and improve the surrounding area.
"In 2027, the bridge will connect Ostrovnaya Street in Krylatskoye and Nizhnie Mnevniki Street in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki. It will aesthetically echo the existing bridge." Gagarinsky Bridge“- concluded the Mayor of Moscow.
