BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang signed a State Council decision promulgating the Water Supply Regulations, which will take effect on June 1, 2026.

The document consists of eight chapters and 50 articles.

Its objective is to promote high-quality development of the water supply sector, ensure water supply security and improve service levels to better meet the needs of economic and social development, as well as the vital needs of the population.
