During the meeting, the parties held in-depth discussions on the drug situation, including the removal of illegal online content, joint investigations, chemical control, and combating money laundering in drug-related cases, the department said in a statement.
The parties informed each other of the latest achievements, exchanged opinions and recommendations, and determined the direction of future cooperation.
They agreed to develop healthy, in-depth and practical cooperation in the fight against drugs on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
The China-US Counternarcotics Intelligence Sharing Meeting, first held in 2002, serves as a key institutional platform for law enforcement cooperation between the two countries on drug control. It is held alternately by the drug control agencies of the two countries.
