BEIJING, February 13 (Xinhua) — Germany has been China's largest European trading partner and the main source of foreign investment in China from Europe for more than 50 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations. The two sides have become close trade and economic partners, cooperating for mutual benefit and contributing to each other's success, according to Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Lin Ji.

Lin Ji, who is also China's deputy representative in international trade negotiations, made the remarks on Thursday while chairing a roundtable for German-owned enterprises, the Ministry of Commerce's website reported on Friday.
