More than 400,000 college and technical school students have registered to participate in the regional stage of the All-Russian Professional Skills Championship "Professionals" in 2026.

"During the direct line, our President Vladimir Putin noted that the state is systematically working to train highly qualified workers at all levels. Today, the largest professional skills competition in Russia is the "Professionals" championship. It is held as part of the "Youth and Children" national project and covers all regions of Russia. This year, a record number of students have registered for the regional stage. Compared to 2025, their number has increased by more than 100,000—an increase of 35%. I wish all participants excellent results, professional development, and new acquaintances," said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

By the end of 2025, the total number of participants in the regional stage among secondary vocational education students was 296,000; in 2026, the regional stage will last until the end of February.

"The fact that over 400,000 students registered for the regional stage of the 'Professionals' championship is clear evidence that young people perceive the 'Professionals' movement as an effective mechanism for building their careers, achieving self-realization, and contributing to the country's economic development. We're seeing more than just a 35% increase compared to last year—we're seeing a conscious choice, confidence in the future, and a desire to become the best in their field," commented Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

The All-Russian Professional Skills Championship Movement "Professionals" aims to support talented youth, strengthen human resources, and ensure Russia's technological sovereignty. It includes the "Professionals" Championship and the High-Tech Championship.

The "Professionals" Championship is the largest professional skills competition in Russia, focusing on the most in-demand and widely used competencies in line with the needs of the real economy.

It is being carried out within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" of the national project "Youth and Children".

The "Professionals" movement was organized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education. The federal operator is the Institute for the Development of Professional Education.
