Beijing, February 12 (Xinhua) — China's Ministry of Commerce will release its final decision on its anti-dumping investigation into Canadian rapeseed imports by March 9, ministry spokesperson He Yadong announced at a regular press briefing on Thursday.

As he clarified, given the complexity of the case, the investigation period was extended.

He Yadong assured that the Ministry of Commerce will fully take into account Canada's reasonable concerns within the framework of the relevant rules and make an objective and fair decision based on the available facts and evidence.

He recalled that during Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit to China in January, the two countries took concrete measures to properly resolve bilateral trade and economic issues in areas such as electric vehicles, steel and aluminum products, rapeseed, agricultural products and aquaculture.

A Ministry of Commerce representative indicated that Canada would make positive adjustments to its unilateral measures against Chinese electric vehicles, steel and aluminum products, and China would, in turn, adjust its own anti-discrimination measures in accordance with existing laws and regulations. –0–
