OTTAWA, February 11 (Xinhua) — At least 10 people were killed in a school shooting in British Columbia, Canada, on Tuesday, including the suspected shooter, local police said.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said several other people injured in the shooting were receiving medical treatment.

Six people were found dead at Tumbler Ridge High School, another died on the way to the hospital, and the bodies of two more people were found in a nearby home, police said.

The shooter was found dead at the school with what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound, according to RCMP.

Two others were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and another 25 people are being examined at a local medical center, police said.

An investigation is underway to determine the motive for the shooting. –0–
