Dushanbe, February 11 (Xinhua) — Tajikistan's inflation rate in 2025 was 3.5 percent, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous year, Firdavs Tolibzoda, Chairman of the National Bank (Central Bank) of Tajikistan, announced at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to him, the annual increase in prices for food products amounted to 4.5 percent, for non-food products – 1.5 percent, for services – 5.7 percent.

F. Tolibzoda noted that last year, in order to regulate the money supply in circulation, manage the liquidity level of credit institutions, reduce inflationary pressure and stimulate the financial market, the Central Bank held 110 auctions to place its own securities for a total of 63.6 billion somoni (approximately 6.8 billion US dollars).

The refinancing rate, as the main instrument of monetary policy, was gradually reduced by 1.5 percentage points during the year and set at 7.5 percent per annum. –0–
