New York, February 11 (Xinhua) — Several people were killed on Tuesday in a shooting at a residential building in Sarasota County, Florida, local authorities said.
"There are multiple fatalities. None of the victims have been identified," the county sheriff's department wrote on social media, adding that an investigation is ongoing.
According to reports, weapons were found at the scene.
The shooting prompted a massive law enforcement response in the afternoon. Authorities stated that there is currently no threat to the public.
