On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, the team of the Mosconcert Cultural Brigade project, with the support of the capital's Department of Culture is organizing a humanitarian aid drive for Special Military Operations (SMO) fighters. From February 10th to 20th, residents can bring gifts that will be delivered to the fighters.
Anyone interested can donate men's kits, antiseptics, rubber boots, and tactical gloves. The cultural brigade will deliver humanitarian aid to the SVO zone. As part of the "Mosconcert Cultural Brigade" project, artists regularly perform in Russian border towns, including the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts. They have developed musical and poetry programs for both children and adults. Since 2022, they have held over 1,300 such events, attended by over 157,000 people.
Since May 2023, the Mosconcert cultural brigade's visits to the SVO zone have almost always included the delivery of humanitarian aid. They regularly provide equipment, books, and medical supplies to military personnel and civilians, including youth and schoolchildren. Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Mosconcert cultural brigade has collected over 100 tons of humanitarian aid.
In August 2024, the Mosconcert opened a collection point for aid for residents of border regions at the S.P. Gorbunov Palace of Culture. Many cultural institutions, volunteer organizations, and commercial organizations joined the effort. Over 70 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Over 30 tons, including New Year's gifts, were delivered to the new regions of Russia. The shipments included medicines, food, clothing, and children's accessories.
