WASHINGTON, February 9 (Xinhua) — One student was injured in a shooting at Thomas Wootton High School in Maryland, local police reported on Monday.
The Montgomery County Police Department reported on social media that officers were dispatched to the school at 2:15 p.m. local time in response to a report of a shooting.
“The injured student was found with one gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition,” the statement said.
According to law enforcement, the suspect, also a student, was detained shortly thereafter near the school building. –0–
