BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) — The State Council Information Office of China on Tuesday released a white paper titled "Xianggang: Safeguarding China's National Security under the Policy of 'One Country, Two Systems'."
The White Paper consists of five parts, a preface, and a conclusion. It details the ongoing struggle to ensure national security in Hong Kong and the central government's primary responsibility for national security matters affecting Hong Kong.
The document also outlines the achievements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities to ensure national security, Hong Kong's transition from turmoil to stability and prosperity, and efforts to build high-level security for high-quality development in line with the policy of "one country, two systems".
