Yerevan, February 10 (Xinhua) — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, who is in the country on a two-day official visit, signed a joint statement on Monday concluding negotiations on a cooperation agreement on the peaceful use of nuclear energy, the press service of the Armenian prime minister reported.

N. Pashinyan and J.D. Vance held talks on Monday and signed the aforementioned statement following them. At a joint press conference following the talks, the Armenian Prime Minister stated that the talks would open a new chapter in the deepening energy partnership between Armenia and the United States and would contribute to the diversification of Armenia's energy resources through the introduction of safe and innovative technologies.
