Kyiv, February 7 (Xinhua) — The United States hopes to end the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict by early summer. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement, Ukrinform reported on Saturday, adding that Washington will likely pressure both sides to meet this deadline.
According to V. Zelensky, the United States wants to achieve peace by June, as Washington will have another priority in the summer: the congressional election campaign.
He also announced that Ukraine is proposing to the US a phased plan for the adoption of documents regarding the end of the armed conflict with Russia. This plan will allow everyone to understand "what the parties are agreeing to, at what point, and at what stages." –0–
