BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) — China called on Lithuania to return to the right track of adhering to the one-China principle and create conditions for the normalization of Chinese-Lithuanian relations, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said in Beijing on Friday.
Lin Jian made this statement at a regular briefing, responding to journalists' requests to comment on recent statements by Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė that her country's decision to open a "Taiwan representative office" in 2021 was a strategic mistake.
China's door to establishing contacts with Lithuania remains open. China hopes that Lithuania can demonstrate its commitment to improving bilateral relations through tangible actions and correct its misdeeds as soon as possible, Lin Jian said. -0-
