These include a "Stock Exchange" simulation game and interactive apps that will help children learn the basics of financial literacy. This was reported by the Moscow school's press service. Department of Education and Science.
"The materials cover topics such as personal finance management, investing, insurance, taxation, and fraud prevention. The content helps students develop basic knowledge, practical skills, and an informed, critical approach to financial decisions, taking into account their age and level of preparation," the department's press service noted.
Teachers have access to new, ready-to-use digital tools for conducting lessons, extracurricular activities, and project work, while students have a clear and visual way to master complex topics through games, practice, and simulations of real-life scenarios. Interactive applications are presented in the form of dialogues and resemble story-based quizzes.
During lessons, students are exposed to various financial situations. They choose possible actions, answer questions, and receive explanations through games. A separate section of the materials is devoted to analyzing common fraudulent schemes. This allows them to discuss potentially dangerous situations and appropriate behavior patterns with them.
Students in grades 9–11 have access to the teacher-led educational simulation game "Stock Market." Working in teams, students make financial decisions, explore investment instruments, analyze the consequences of their actions, and understand the role of education as a key factor in success. The game is suitable for both topic-based lessons and extracurricular activities.
The new content was created by a partner of the capital's education system—the Institute of Education at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Two types of materials from this developer are currently available in the MES library: interactive applications and an educational simulation game. You can find them in the catalog using the search or filter by publisher. All materials are adapted to core educational programs and can be used in classroom scenarios and for independent study.
