Abu Dhabi, February 4 (Xinhua) — The second round of US-brokered talks between Russia and Ukraine began here on Wednesday, according to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

“The next stage of negotiations in Abu Dhabi has begun,” he wrote on Telegram.

According to R. Umerov, who is also a member of the Ukrainian delegation, the negotiation process began in a "trilateral format" with the participation of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

“Further work will be carried out in separate groups… after which a repeated joint synchronization of positions is planned,” he noted.
