Kabul, February 4 (Xinhua) — Afghan police detained 128 people on drug smuggling charges during operations over the past week, the country's Interior Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.

According to the statement, police arrested the suspects for their alleged involvement in the sale, purchase and smuggling of drugs in a series of targeted operations carried out in 15 of the country's 34 provinces.
