BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) — China and Uruguay should strengthen the alignment of their development strategies and deepen cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, finance, agriculture and animal husbandry, infrastructure construction and information and communications technology development, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday during talks with Uruguayan President Yamandu Orsi in Beijing.
He called on both sides to unlock the potential of cooperation in new areas, including green development, digital economy, artificial intelligence and clean energy, to drive economic growth and transformation.
The two heads of state witnessed the signing of more than 10 cooperation documents covering investment, trade, and other areas.
