In 2025, entrepreneurs concluded 91,500 contracts following quotation sessions using a trading bot on the supplier portal. By reducing the initial contract price at auctions, customers saved six billion rubles. This was reported by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Department of Economic Policy and City Development.

"The trading bot allows entrepreneurs to participate in multiple bidding sessions simultaneously. This service helps them save time and offer their products to more consumers. In turn, customers receive the most advantageous offers thanks to increased competition among suppliers. In 2025, 91,500 contracts were concluded on the portal as a result of mini-auctions using the trading bot. Suppliers from Moscow, the Moscow and Kaluga regions, Perm Krai, and St. Petersburg were the most active in these sessions. They accounted for a total of over 72,000 transactions, or almost 80 percent of the total number of contracts concluded. By reducing starting prices in procurement, customers saved six billion rubles—15 percent more than in 2024," said Maria Bagreeva.

The trading bot has been operating on the supplier portal since 2022. Its purpose is to simplify the procurement process and minimize risks for entrepreneurs and customers.

"When connecting to an automated bidding bot, the supplier specifies the amount to which they are willing to reduce the product price during the bidding session. During the mini-auction, other bidders can submit their own offers, and the bot progressively bids down to the minimum price specified by the entrepreneur," noted the head of the Moscow Department of Competition Policy.

Bidding sessions are mini-auctions lasting three, six, or 24 hours, where suppliers compete, gradually lowering the starting price of a contract. This format allows entrepreneurs to quickly conclude contracts and reap profits, while customers can purchase products at a competitive price.

IN Department of Information Technology of the City of Moscow They note that while the bot doesn't guarantee victory in the mini-auction, it significantly saves time and optimizes entrepreneurs' resources. This is especially important for small and medium-sized businesses, which account for over 90 percent of suppliers on the portal. The tool is also useful for buyers: increasing the number of bidders in the process increases competition and reduces the initial contract price.

Supplier portal Created in 2013 to automate small-volume procurement, the platform has proven itself to be an effective tool for interaction between government customers and businesses. The platform offers over 3.3 million unique products, works, and services, with over 1,500 contracts concluded daily. Currently, over 390,000 entrepreneurs are registered on the portal, over 90 percent of which are small and medium-sized businesses. More than 60,000 government and municipal customers from 43 regions of Russia purchase goods, works, and services on the platform.

The functional customer of the portal is the capital Department of Competition Policy, and its technical development is supervised by Department of Information Technology of the City of Moscow.
