BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) — Uruguayan Oriental Republic President Yamandu Orsi arrived in Beijing on Sunday for a state visit that will last from Feb. 1 to 7.
This is President Yamandu Orsi's first state visit to China. During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold talks with him to exchange detailed views on deepening the China-Uruguay comprehensive strategic partnership, advancing high-quality cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative, and discussing international and regional issues of mutual interest.
The Chinese side hopes and believes that, under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state, the visit will play a positive role in further deepening the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, a Chinese Foreign Ministry official stated earlier. -0-
