BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) — China's non-financial outward direct investment (ODI) will reach $145.66 billion in 2025, up 1.3 percent from a year earlier, according to data released Friday by the Ministry of Commerce.

The growth of Chinese investment was steady and orderly, the department noted. Investment in Africa, Europe, and Asia increased by 41 percent, 20.9 percent, and 1.2 percent, respectively.

The inflow of non-financial direct investment from China to countries joining the Belt and Road Initiative amounted to US$39.67 billion, an increase of 17.6 percent year-on-year.

Chinese companies' overseas engineering contracting revenues totaled $178.82 billion, up 7.7 percent from the previous year, while newly signed contracts rose 8.2 percent to $289.22 billion, according to data from the trade ministry. -0-
