BEIJING, January 29 (Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 struck the South Sandwich Islands at 07:30 GMT on Thursday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
According to initial data, the earthquake's epicenter was located at 57.71 degrees south latitude and 25.30 degrees west longitude. The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
