BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) — Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday stressed improving Party style, building an incorruptible administrative apparatus and combating corruption in government work to provide strong guarantees for the implementation of the goals and tasks of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).

Li Qiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made the announcement at the 4th State Council Working Meeting on Ensuring Integrity in the Governance Apparatus.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chinese leader called for the implementation of comprehensive and strict intra-Party governance based on higher standards and through more effective measures to ensure the effectiveness of relevant efforts in all aspects and processes of government work.

Li Qiang stated that it is necessary to take a more decisive and vigorous approach in implementing the decisions and orders of the CPC Central Committee and ensure that officials adhere to the correct view of political achievements in practice.

The Premier of the State Council called for continuing the fight against excessive formalism, reducing the burden on low-level officials, and strengthening auditing and accounting oversight to ensure the safe and efficient use of public funds and assets.

Li Qiang also demanded that close attention be paid to corruption problems that arise both in key areas and in plain sight of the public.

The meeting was chaired by Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
