"China attaches great importance to economic and trade cooperation with the UK and is actively working with the British side to prepare the trade and economic outcomes of the visit, as well as the meeting between Chinese and British entrepreneurs," the Ministry of Commerce noted.
They added that Chinese and British businesses are showing great interest in the meeting, with more than 100 companies currently registered to participate.
At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be on an official visit to China from January 28 to 31, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced earlier on Tuesday. -0-
