Bishkek, January 26 (Xinhua) — Four people died from carbon monoxide poisoning on Monday in the Jalal-Abad region of southern Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz national news agency Kabar reported, citing the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the tragedy occurred in a residential building in the village of Ala-Buka. Law enforcement agencies received information about the incident at around 12:20 PM local time.
Among the dead were a man born in 1994, a woman born in 2002, and two young girls born in 2024 and 2025.
Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs officers are working at the scene. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being investigated.
