Almaty, January 26 (Xinhua) – Oil production at the Tengiz field in western Kazakhstan is expected to exceed 39 million tons by 2025, the country's prime minister's press service reported on Monday.

According to Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company, KazMunayGas (KMG), planned oil production was 35.7 million tons. Oil production at the Kashagan field in 2025 exceeded 18 million tons, while KMG's initial forecast was 18.25 million tons.

According to the press service, the total volume of energy resources shipped through the international oil transportation company Caspian Pipeline Consortium amounted to 70.5 million tons, of which 63.8 million tons was Kazakh oil. –0–
