BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, called on Monday for actively promoting high-quality development of social work.
Cai Qi made a corresponding statement at the All-China Meeting of Heads of Social Work Departments held in Beijing.
He pointed out the need to follow the socialist path of public governance with Chinese characteristics, improve the public governance system, enhance institutions and mechanisms for social work, and intensify party building work in emerging sectors.
A member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee called for steadily expanding the coverage of Party organizations and Party work in emerging sectors, strengthening Party building in new-type economic and social organizations and among groups with new forms of employment, strengthening the Party's influence and its ability to inspire and unite in these areas.
