Moscow, January 25 (Xinhua) — US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steven Witkoff, confirmed plans to hold a new round of trilateral talks between the US, Russia, and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), next week. This was reported by TASS on Saturday.
"On Friday and Saturday, the United States held a trilateral meeting with Ukraine and Russia, which the UAE graciously hosted. The talks were very constructive, and plans were made to continue the discussions next week in Abu Dhabi," said S. Witkoff, posting a corresponding message on the social media platform X.
A meeting of the Russia-US-Ukraine Security Working Group was held in Abu Dhabi from January 23 to 24. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Saturday, described the two-day trilateral talks as constructive on the social media platform X. The Russian side has not yet made any official comments regarding the outcome of these talks.
