WASHINGTON, January 24 (Xinhua) — More than 9,000 flights across the United States scheduled for the weekend have been canceled due to a powerful storm expected to batter vast swaths of the country, causing extended power outages and severely disrupting key transportation routes, American media reported on Saturday.
