Washington, January 22 (Xinhua) — Laura Doga has been appointed Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the U.S. Embassy in Colombia, which handles Venezuela. The announcement was published on the U.S. Embassy in Venezuela's website on Thursday.

L. Dogu served twice as the U.S. Ambassador to Central America. She also serves as the Foreign Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Armed Forces.
