BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) — Wang Xiaohong, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a State Councilor, called on Thursday for a tough and merciless crackdown on cross-border gambling, strengthening comprehensive and coordinated measures.
Wang Xiaohong made the announcement at a national meeting via video link, stressing the urgency and importance of combating this type of criminal activity.
He said it was necessary to focus on important cases, tracking down key fugitives and criminal gambling networks, and conducting consistent and targeted operations.
