BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) — Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping signed an order promulgating the Regulations on Work in the Field of Military Theory.
The Regulations, which will take effect on March 1, focus on accelerating the modernization of military theory, optimizing high-level planning for innovation in military theory, and improving the military theory research model.
The Regulations also defined the system for managing military-theoretical work, approved the main content, procedure for developing and publishing development strategies, construction programs and annual plans in the field of military theory, and clarified the measures and requirements for registration and joint use, evaluation and determination, promotion and application, as well as retrospective evaluation of military-theoretical achievements.
