BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) — China firmly opposes the European Union's (EU) decision to list some Chinese companies as so-called "high-risk suppliers," Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yongqian said Thursday.
He Yongqian made this statement at a regular press conference, noting that the EU recently published documents requiring its member states to exclude "high-risk suppliers" from 18 key sectors, including energy, transport, and managed ICT services. She added that China had expressed serious concern about this move.
Chinese companies have long operated in Europe in strict compliance with local laws and regulations, providing high-quality products and services and contributing to the development of Europe's telecommunications and digital industries.
