Oslo, January 22 (Xinhua) — Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen has publicly accepted US President Donald Trump's invitation to personally discuss the situation around Greenland, Danish media reported on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Trump said that if L.L. Rasmussen truly believed that Denmark would not negotiate on the Greenland issue, he should tell him so personally.

In response to the call, L. L. Rasmussen confirmed his readiness for direct contact, noting his experience of personal communication with D. Trump.

"I would really like to say this to his face. I've said other things to his face, too. I think I can handle it," L. L. Rasmussen said in an interview with Danmarks radio /DR/. –0–
