Following the third season of the "Far East – Land of Adventure" competition, 859 films were submitted for jury evaluation, almost 50% more than in the second season. This was announced by the project's initiator, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
"The Far East and the Arctic are amazing territories with unique nature. More and more Russians are visiting these areas: in the first 10 months of 2025 (January to October) alone, tourist flow to the Far Eastern Federal District regions amounted to approximately 6.4 million people. To attract more tourists, we created a special competition – 'The Far East – Land of Adventure.' And we see that the competition is growing in popularity every year – more travel films are submitted for judging. This year, special attention was given to the special category 'Paths of Victory' – Russia celebrated the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War," said Yuri Trutnev.
The deadline for applications for the third season of the competition was January 15, 2026. Sakhalin Oblast led the Far Eastern Federal District in terms of the number of films filmed, with 177 videos submitted, followed by Primorsky Krai with 121 films, Kamchatka Krai with 83 films, and Khabarovsk Krai with 70 films. Fifty-nine videos were submitted about travel in the Republic of Buryatia, 51 short films about Amur Oblast, 50 films about the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) (including seven in the "Arctic Journey" category), and 35 videos about the Jewish Autonomous Oblast. Participants submitted 32 films about tourist routes in Zabaikalsky Krai, 28 films about Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (including six in the "Arctic Journey" category), and 20 videos about Magadan Oblast.

Eighteen participants from the Nenets Autonomous Okrug submitted their entries, 16 videos were about travel in the Arkhangelsk Region, 13 about the Republic of Karelia, 11 about tourist routes in the Komi Republic, and five videos about the Krasnoyarsk Krai.

Additionally, 39 films have been selected for the special "Paths of Victory" category. Participants who have made a film for the "Paths of Victory" special category may also be considered for prizes in the main categories of the "Far East – Land of Adventure" competition.
The jury will now begin its work. Until the end of February, it will review the short films submitted by the participants and determine the winners in the main and special categories, as well as the winner of the competition's grand prize of 3 million rubles. Films from all participating films, regardless of whether they win a prize, will be added to the interactive travel map on the website. travelerdv.rf.
The awards ceremony for the winners of the third season of the all-Russian competition for the best trip to the Far East and Arctic, "Far East – Land of Adventure," will take place in March 2026.
The competition is supported by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, and the Social Initiatives Development Fund.
