HOHHOT, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) — Several people have been rescued after an explosion at a factory in the western city of Baotou in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local authorities said.
According to the city's emergency management agency, the explosion occurred around 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Baogang United Steel sheet rolling mill. The exact number of casualties remains unknown.
The explosion caused noticeable tremors in nearby areas. Rescue efforts are currently ongoing. -0-
