Conakry, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) — Mamadi Doumbouya was officially sworn in as Guinea's president on Saturday for a seven-year term in accordance with the country's new constitution.
M. Doumbouya's inauguration took place after his election as president. He received 86.72% of the vote.
After taking the oath of office, M. Doumbouya thanked the people of Guinea for their trust in him, noting that his mandate would be primarily dedicated to women and youth.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to respecting the Constitution, laws and regulations of Guinea, as well as judicial decisions. –0–
