Vladivostok, January 14 (Xinhua) — Avalanche danger is expected in three districts of Russia's Sakhalin Oblast, the regional avalanche prevention center of the Sakhalin Hydrometeorological Center announced.
According to SakhalinMedia, on January 15 there will be avalanche danger in the Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, Smirnykhovsky, and Nevelsky districts (on the section of the Nevelsk-Gornozavodsk highway).
Avalanche danger will remain in the Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky and Smirnykhovsky districts on January 16. Emergency warnings and response recommendations have been sent to the municipal administrations and relevant agencies.
