Havana, January 13 (Xinhua) — The remains of 32 Cuban soldiers killed during the U.S. military attack on Venezuela will be returned to Cuba on Thursday, the Cuban government announced Monday.
The bodies of the fallen soldiers will reportedly be handed over in a ceremony at Havana's José Martí International Airport, where they will be given posthumous honors.
The funeral procession will proceed along Rancho Boyeros Avenue to the building of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
On Friday, the public will gather at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune to begin the "March of the Fighting People." Meanwhile, mourning ceremonies will be held in provincial capitals across the country.
The remains of the soldiers will be buried in the cemeteries of the Fallen in Defense in their hometowns.
