Kyiv, January 13 (Xinhua) — In 2025, Ukraine received 23 medium- and long-range air defense systems and 11,000 missiles for them from its allies and partners. Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal made this announcement on Tuesday, according to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, adding that these systems included four Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.
D. Shmyhal noted that last year Ukraine also managed to attract record-breaking security assistance from its allies, amounting to $45 billion, a 30 percent increase over the 2024 target.
Earlier in January, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed appointing D. Shmyhal to the post of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy. –0–
