St. Petersburg, January 12 (Xinhua) — A spill of approximately 80 tons of AI-95 gasoline occurred Sunday evening at an oil depot in the city of Olenegorsk in Russia's Murmansk region, the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the press service, a pipeline connected to a gasoline tank leaked. Approximately 80 tons of gasoline leaked within the oil depot.

The fuel supply has been cut off. Personnel from the environmental organization Ecospas arrived at the scene to clean up the spill. The gasoline is stored in containment facilities, and preparations are underway to pump out the oil products and contaminated snow for disposal.
