Cairo, January 11 (Xinhua) — The Iranian government intends to resolve the economic problems facing its people, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday, calling on Iranians to refrain from any "destructive actions."
In a television interview with Iran's state broadcaster IRIB, Pezeshkian emphasized that the government is "ready to listen to its people."
The president also accused the United States and Israel of ordering "rioters" to create instability in Iran after the 12-day Iran-Israel war last year.
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, in an interview, M. Pezeshkian "outlined the government's goals within the framework of a plan for a large-scale reform of the subsidy system aimed at stabilizing the market, stimulating production and increasing the purchasing power of the population, and also spoke about the progress of this plan's implementation." -0-
